How we Open Play at 706

Court Assignments

  1. Courts are progressional from Court 5 being the Advanced Level, to Court 8 being the Beginner Level.

  2. When joining Open play be sure to find your level.

  3. Paddle Stacking Bins will be outside each Court. In less busy times: Courts 5 & 6 will stack together and Courts 7 & 8 will stack together.

  4. Scoring:,

    • No Players waiting: Play to 11, win by 2.

    • 1-3 Players Waiting: Play to 11, win by 1. Winners stay on the Court.

    • 4 or more Players waiting: Play to 11, win by 1. 4 on/4 off. All Players leave the Court. Four new players come onto the court.

  5. If there are not enough players to fill courts then Court 5 is used first.

  1. After registering at the front desk, check the front desk monitor to see which courts are designated for Open Play.

  2. Get in line for a game by stacking your paddle at the centralized paddle stack next to Courts 6 and 7.

  3. The order of paddles in the stack determines the playing order. The first group of four paddles represents the next team to play.

  4. If you see a stack with less than 4 paddles, you can add your paddle to that stack to join their group.

  5. When a game ends and a court opens, yell “COURT” so the next four players in the paddle stack know to take the court.

  6. Players from the finished game can either rest or place their paddles back in line to wait for their next turn.

  7. Games are played to 11, win by 2.
